It’s raining today folks. Digitimes doing what it does best has gotten the word from Taiwan-based supply chain makers which confirms what we already know: iPhone 5 is getting an 8 MP camera with a separate LED flash.

The thing which you should correct or update here is that OmniVision Technologies will be providing the camera parts for the next gen iPhone and not Sony.

Based on the recent speculations coming out of the rumor mill, iPhone 5 is expected to get a 4 inch touch-screen, NFC chip, a flat metal back and possibly a sliding keyboard. Expect the iPhone 4 successor to go live in November or even earlier in September.
