Pre-requisites

  • Download Limera1n for Windows [Mirror]
  • Download iOS 4.1 for iPod Touch 4G and iPod Touch 3G using the links posted here.

Note: Limera1n is available for Windows users for the time being. We will update you as the Mac version gets unleashed.

Step 1 Launch Limera1n.

Step 2 Connect your iPod Touch to your PC via the USB cable.

Step 3 Click on make it ra1n button.

Step 4 Limera1n will attempt to enter the recovery mode.

Step 5 Once you enter the recovery mode, you will be prompted by the tool to hold Home + Power Button.

Step 6 After a few seconds you will be asked to release Power button.

Step 7 After a few seconds, Limera1n will attempt to take your iPod Touch 4G/3G to DFU mode.

Step 8 Limera1n logo will make itself prominent on the iPod Touch screen.

Step 9 A Message Box / Dialog box will appear with the title geohot says: Enjoy your jailbroken iPhone.

Step 10 Power on your iPod Touch.

Step 11 Make sure your iDevice’s WiFi is turned on.

Step 12 Launch Limera1n from your iPod Touch and install Cydia.
