First LG Windows Phone 7 handset coming in September, what about HTC?
Folks at Engadget China report that LG is planning to ship its first Windows Phone 7 Series phone in September. This news comes as a confirmation of the previously rumored date. September is not the final date and the mobile manufacturers might slip back the release date till Halloween.
Just to remind you, Microsoft announced Windows Phone 7 during the recently concluded MWC 2010. The mobile OS brings a whole new and sexy UI, with interesting new concepts. For more on the Mobile World Congress event, check out our MWC coverage here.
The Engadget guys managed to get the release date while having a conversation with LG in Hong Kong. The thing which interests me here is this – will LG be the first to roll out the next generation Windows Phone device or will HTC spoil the party for them? Personally, I will like to see HTC take this spot. What about you? More importantly, do you plan to purchase the Windows Phone 7 Series phone once it rolls out? If Yes, then check out some captivating offers right here

My Mobile contract came to an end recently, thought tempted to renew it and get the HD2, I decided to move onto a rolling contract and stick with my current WM6.1 Phone. With baited breath I was hoping WP7 would be worth waiting for and it looks like it is.
So yes, I will be getting WP7 when it comes out, but as you mention I’ll be waiting for HTC incarnation rather than anything from LG.
