Microsoft: Sidekick data restoration is taking too long
Everybody is aware of the unfortunate outage of Microsoft‘s Danger server that resulted in data loss for T-Mobile Sidekick users. Microsoft made a statement during the last week which was welcomed by the Sidekick users as Microsoft stated that the data recovery for majority of the user was in progress.Yesterday Microsoft posted an update about Sidekick data restoration
Microsoft said:
The Danger / Microsoft team has continued to work around the clock and is conducting its last round of rigorous tests before making the restoration process available to you. We’re making solid progress in restoring content and will update you tomorrow with additional timing and instructions for recovery.
Microsoft team is continuing to work on the data restoration process. Microsoft apologizes that this process is taking so long, but Microsoft wants to make sure that they are doing everything possible to maintain the integrity of your data.

Microsoft continues to make steady progress, and it is hoped to be able to begin restoring personal contacts for affected users this week, with the remainder of the content (photographs, notes, to-do-lists, marketplace data, and high scores) shortly thereafter.
Data restoration effort is only necessary for customers who lost data from their Sidekick devices.
