Moneysupermarket make motorists app in search for cheap insurance
Cash-strapped motorists have been using car insurance comparison sites like Moneysupermarket for years to secure good deals. Now drivers can use their iPhones to take advantage of cut-price cover thanks to the first car insurance comparison app launched in the UK.
The Moneysupermarket app, which is expected to be available for Android phones pretty soon, is free to download and could help users make average car insurance savings of £375. The app is as easy to use as most price comparison sites – just insert the basic details about yourself and your vehicle and then receive a host of quotes within seconds.
There’s a ‘click to call’ function that dials up insurers in you require further assistance or advice. If you’re happy with one particular quote, though, then click through and purchase immediately.
Buying car insurance has never been more convenient and Julie Fisher, from Moneysupermarket, said: “The cost of running a car has been increasing markedly over the last few years, with petrol prices on the up and car insurance a yearly necessity for all drivers.
“People are naturally keen to take action, and shop around to switch to the best possible car insurance deal.
“The launch of the Moneysupermarket car insurance app has made it even easier for people to find the right car cover for the best possible price – allowing people to compare a huge range of quotes quickly and easily – anytime, anywhere. It’s another example of how Moneysupermarket is helping people to make the most of their money.”
