Quake 3 ported to Nexus One, runs smoothly
Back in February, we shared with you the amazing news of Quake 3 ported to the quite popular Motorola Droid handset. While the port itself was a huge development, it did made Nexus One users think why not us. The reason given at that time was that the game supported only mobile phones with physical keyboard. But given the nature of the surprise filled Android hacking world, we now have the first person 3D based shooting game ported to the first Android 2.1 phone and is running pretty smoothly. Video after the jump.
As you will tell from the video, the game doesn’t show any signs of lagginess and offers a pretty enjoyable gaming experience with full audio support and responsive touch screen. Volume Up key is used to move forward, where as the Volume Down key has been reserved for jumping purposes. The trackball as you might have noticed performs the mouse role pretty. Firing gun shots is done by tapping the trackball.

Had this issue on 4.0.1 when I tried to keep all 160 apps on one page. It would kick a handful to t he second page after a reboot or respiring. Solution I found was to move my game folder(which is my largest) to it”s own page. Worked fine then and also now on 4.1. Not going 4.2 till I need to or it”s untethered. It”s all an unforgivable mess. This is a closed system free of outside interference and all designed by Apple so why cant they get their own sh*t to work together??????? It always feels like they sit drinking coffee for months just to look exclusive and have us wait, then they throw it out there for us to test.I think apple should buy into this because they are obvs failing to produce the White iPhone 4 and this kit looks identical I really want to do this to my phone buh I”m scared incase my phone brakes and apple won”t fix it cause they will take my warenty from me if I put this kit on it as they told me themselves
