What! Nexus S doesn’t have Gorilla Glass
Just now I was looking into the SamsungService Twitter feed, to see if there was something Nexus S related, that was worth sharing with you folks, and look what I found. I am not sure if you expected this – but here is the thing, the Gingerbread flagship device which has more of a Samsung Galaxy S like look, doesn’t have the Gorilla Glass protection which the Samsung Galaxy S had.
Here’s the tweet:
@Corning I have confirmed that the Nexus S is not Gorilla Glass. ^Sabrina
Another thing to note from the above pasted Twitter Feed image, is that poor old colinsmall got his query answered after 6 long days.

In case you forgot, Corilla’s Gorilla Glass which is an alkali-aluminosilicate thin sheet glass in essence, acts as a protector for the smartphone to make sure it is scratch resistant and durable.
One just wonders why Sammy didn’t go ahead with the specialized glass option as it did in the case of the high selling Samsung Galaxy S. Was it due to the curved touchscreen that Nexus S has?
