John Paczkowski of AllThingsD has shared a news which will please smartphone enthusiasts looking to get their hands on Nokia’s Windows Phone Debutant. Citing Jo Harlow’s interview with Forbes, Paczkowski has hinted at the Finlander’s intention of rolling out their first Windows Phone Mango powered smartphone in the current year.

Here is what Jo Harlow, Nokia’s EVP of Smart Devices said regarding their first Windows Phone:

I’m quite pleased with our progress,” Harlow said. “Our target is absolutely still this year…and the target looks good

This bit of information comes as a reminder for us since Nokia already hinted at the 2011 release back in February 2011 at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. But here is what’s new.
