Nokia launching its first Windows Phones in six European countries this year
We already informed you earlier about Nokia’s launch of its Windows Phone devices in 2011 – and now it is been confirmed by Victor Saeijs, VP of Nokia Europe that the first ‘Nokia-Microsoft’ partnership devices will be rolled-out in 6 European countries this year.
At the 2011 Mobile Telecompaper conference Victor Saeijs, told the audience that Netherlands, France, Germany, Spain, Italy and UK will be the first 6 European regions to get Nokia Windows Phone devices. It is very shocking indeed that Nokia neglected Finland – its own base, from the above list of launching countries.
Victor Saeijs, told the audience listening to him, that he already had one Nokia WP7 device in his pocket, but he cannot display it – because the device he had was a pre-production prototype.
It is our guess from previous rumors and news that India and other Asian countries might get their version of Nokia Windows Phones handset in year 2012. What do you think, when will Nokia be launching its Windows Phones in other regions?
