Microsoft to unleash Office 2010 on 12 May for business users only
Businesses and organizations love and use Microsoft’s premium range of Office products to fulfill their daily business needs. Microsoft recognizes this very fact and as a result has decided to roll out their next iteration of Office, Office 2010 for business users in May. 12 May is the date that the interested business users should set their calendars to.
NBC Studios in New York is the selected venue for the event. Microsoft Business Division President Stephen Elop will be giving the keynote speech which of course will be interesting and might reveal a few interesting and exciting statistics regarding the popularity and reception of Office 2010 Beta. Selected customers will give testimonials related to their wonderful experience with Word 2010, Outlook 2010, Excel 2010 and PowerPoint 2010.
Office 2010 of course also includes the Office Web Apps, which are essentially the browser based Office apps and Microsoft’s strong reply to Google Docs.
Kurt DelBene, senior vice president for Office Business Productivity at Microsoft shared his belief of the launch coming at the right time since given the high demand for new software.
I repeat, the launch focuses on business value proposition only. Final version of Office 2010 for the general public will be rolled out in June. Till then you can experiment and play with the Office 2010 Beta, which of course is available for free. For more Office 2010 stuff, check out our Office 2010 coverage.
