Official List of BlackBerry devices to get OS 5.0

There is a buzz among the BlackBerry community as RIM is all set to launch OS 5.0 for existing devices. What will the latest bring is a different matter. What’s even more important is which BlackBerry models will be compatible with BlackBerry OS 5.0. An official list of supported BlackBerry phones has been discovered that identifies which BlackBerry phones (existing ones) will be getting OS 5.0 update. The BlackBerry devices that will be getting OS 5.0 include:
- BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8200 series smartphones
- BlackBerry Curve 8330 smartphones
- BlackBerry Curve 8350i smartphones
- BlackBerry Curve 8900 smartphones
- BlackBerry Bold 9000 smartphones
- BlackBerry Storm 9500 series smartphones
- BlackBerry Tour 9630 smartphones
It remains to be seen whether or not the new Blackberry Torch will be compatible.
