webOS hacked to run OpenOffice

It seems the tech world just can’t have enough of hacking webOS to run various sort of apps. Recently we informed you about the Fennec for Android ported and running on Palm Pre. Well here is another impressive piece of act from Palm’s webOS phone. The latest hacking effort has resulted in webOS running Open Office.
It took a while to achieve this port. Long series of 23 steps was required to enable the Office app to run on Palm Pre. But the thing to be excited about here is that this opens the webOS to run all sort of Linux apps not to forget the impressive multi-tasking abilities of the phone.
