  • Trustport Antivirus 2009.

The test’s main focus was on the malware removal, all used samples were tested antivirus products were able to detect. The main question was if the products are able to successfully remove malware from an already infected/compromised system. The test report was aimed to typical home users.

The results are as follows:

list-antivirus

None of the antivirus program performed “very good” in malware removal test. eScan, Symantec and Microsoft were the products good in removal of malware.

Some products do not remove all registry entries for the given purpose. In some cases it is not possible to know if the registry values were modified by the malware or by the user itself.

Which antivirus would you use? None? Or what? Choice is still yours.
