ProSwitcher 1.0 has just been released and is available for a free download from Cydia. ProSwitcher is an app that enables multi-tasking for your jailbroken iPhone or iPod Touch allowing you to switch between the iPhone apps running in the background in a cover flow-like manner that is similar to the one offered in Palm Pre phones. The multi-tasking app presents apps in tabs much like you are used to in the mobile version of Apple’s browser, Safari. ProSwitcher 1.0, which graduated from the recently released beta version brings a few new functions, improved performance and much more. (Features listed below)

Here are the features that this powerful multi-tasking app brings:

  • Added the ability to automatically activate ProSwitcher every time you exit an application
  • Added the “Zoom Active Card” feature, which will magnify the selected application card
  • Improved “Rounded Corners” style: none, small, medium and large
  • Improved overall performance and fixed several bugs

ProSwitcher can be downloaded for jailbroken iPhone and iPod Touch from Cydia under the BigBoss repository (http://booleanmagic.com/repo).

This app just makes me wonder, will Apple consider adding this sort of multi-tasking functionality in its next generation iPhone, iPhone 4G? Personally, I want this to happen, what about you?
