Redsn0w 0.9 : Jailbreak tool for iPhone OS 3.1.2 coming soon
Own an iPhone or iPod Touch? If Yes, this post is of particular interest to you. Redsn0w 0.9 is scheduled to arrive pretty soon. You ask why it is so significant? Well the yet to arrive update for Redsn0w will allow you to jailbreak iPhone OS 3.1.2 based phones.
Redsn0w is an easy to use, multi-platform, multi-device jailbreaking and unlocking tool for the iPhone 2G, iPhone 3G/3GS and also the iPod Touch (first and second generation).
The sad part here is off course that the tool won’t be able to unlock 3rd generation iPod Touch or the new iPhone 3GS with new iBoot.
Coming to the current status of the jailbreaking tool – it is presently being tested, so you can expect it to arrive pretty soon. It will bring interesting features in the form of a custom boot logo and a custom recover logo. The tool is expected to be available for Windows, Linux and Mac platform once it arrives. It remains to be seen as to if it will be made available for all the platforms at once or will the dev team go for a different option. This is something that remains to be seen.
