Rumor: Droid Xtreme coming in July, Droid 2 in August
Droid Xtreme and Droid 2 have been on the loose for quite a long time with one key thing missing – the possible release date. BGR seems to have that part covered now. According to the BGR source, Droid Xtreme aka Droid X will be going live somewhere in July whereas Droid 2 which looks more like the original Droid will hit the shelves in August.
Droid X will have Android 2.1 running on it with Shadow Blur. Droid 2 is even better than Droid X in terms of firmware as it will become stocked with Android 2.2 aka Froyo. Both the devices have an OMAP3630 processor performing the necessary computations. All that is left now is a more specific release date and price plans for the phone.
