Rumor: Apple to announce iPod Touch 4 in mid-August
With the month of September getting nearer, it is only natural that we see the rumor mill getting hotter and hotter with speculation of Apple’s plan for the annual iPod refresh event. A Brazilian news site which goes by the name Macmagazine have been tipped off by a reliable Apple insider according to which the Cupertinos might announce the next iPod Touch aka iPod Touch 4 in mid of August.

This is how they broke the news:
The MacMagazine today received information from a reliable source within Apple about a new event to the press that the company was planning to soon. Although the schedule cite the source as somewhere around 14 and 16, we bet our chips on a Monday or Tuesday – that is, 16 or August 17.
The iPod Touch 3G successor is expected to be equipped with a rear facing 5 MP camera, a front facing camera as revealed by parts leaks and previous rumors.
In addition to the new iPod Touch model, Apple is expected to roll out a refreshed iPod Nano model and quite possibly a redesigned screen for the iPod Shuffle, as revealed earlier by iLounge.
