Save iOS 4.0.1 SHSH while you can
Apple not so long ago rolled out iOS 4.0.2 which brought with it the PDF vulnerability and thus took away the jailbreak capability of your iDevice. This has had many users worried since we all know what its like to have a jailbroken iPhone or iPod Touch for that matter. But here is a life saver for you – Apple is still signing the iOS 4.0.1 firmware so you can still restore your firmware to iOS 4.0.1 and get the jailbreak you truly deserve.
This pleasant bit of news was shared by MuscleNerd via his Twitter account:
cool :) (and by the way they’re still signing 4.0.1 so get your backups for that new one too)
So all you need to do now is download the iOS 4.0.1 for your iDevice, do a good old restore via the Shift-Restore trick in iTunes and then jailbreak your device using JailbreakMe 2.0. And while you are on the iOS 4.0.1 firmware, save your iOS 4.0.1 SHSH using TinyUmbrella as the saved SHSH Blob will prove valuable in the future.
