Folks at Seesmic have rolled out an update for your favorite Twitter app Seesmic for Android. This update happens to be the one you don’t want to miss out upon – since it equips you with the power to manage multiple accounts. Not only you can switch between multiple accounts, you can do cross-posting simultaneously. What does this update say to you? Get hold of me as soon as possible. Hey wait, this is not all, it brings a bunch of other options which we discuss after the jump.

The scroll bar just got smarter since it remembers the current scroll position in your timeline and will load the latest tweets on top of the memorized location. If you don’t like it you can turn this feature off meaning the power is in your hand.

Besides these two feature, the focus of this update was to make the app speedier and more user-friendly which led to the following updates

  • Adding an Extra Large text size option
  • Your profile information (avatar, number of following and followers,…) will now be updated automatically
  • Changing your Twitter account password will now be handled by the application
  • Composer now auto-corrects and auto-capitalize your words and sentences
  • Notifications are now cleared when the application is accessed from Launcher
  • Easily changing default account from the application’s Settings
  • Can remove a Twitter account simply by pressing on it

If my understanding is correct, if you use this app, your dependency on the web version of Twitter will be as good as finish. The reason I say this is due to the inclusion of password change option. I just wonder what will the next update bring? Will the Seesmic folks be interested in bringing the just announced HoverCards functionality from Twitter to their mobile client?

So, do you plan to update/install the latest update? Do share with us.
