Seesmic has been really active these days. First they announced Seesmic for Windows at Microsoft’s PDC event. Now they have decided to put their foot into the mobile arena. Seesmic have launched Twitter client for Android phone. This is a move that various Android users will highly appreciate. The app is simply amazing with a lot of cool features. (Complete set of features discussed below)

Seesmic for Android comes out as an app that is simple and easy to use. It enables you to view your direct messages, share your images, post  videos to YouTube, share links from your bit.ly account, configure your notification settings in a simple threaded view.

Seesmic for Android Features

Access all your timelines from a single place

  • Seesmic for Android groups all your Twitter timelines in one simple screen. Whether you want to scroll infinitely in your friends timeline or want to find a private conversation with a friend, everything is one tap away in a beautiful interface. Just long tap on a Tweet to access shortcuts to the main actions on a tweet.

Clear Profile Information

  • Viewing a profile of a twitter user requires just a single tap. Just tap the username or avatar that appears in a tweet and you will be able to see their profile, view their tweets, followers, following and favorite tweets.

Video Sharing

  • Seesmic for Android allows you to record videos and upload them on the fly to Youtube, yFrog or Twitvid, and your friends will be able to see it immediately.

Photo Sharing

  • Seesmic for Android allows you to share a photo from your gallery or take a photo directly from the application. You can share your photos on yFrog, Twitpic or Mobypicture. While the photo uploads, you can type your message and see the final URL to your photo appear when it’s ready.

URL Shortening

  • Just type a URL, press the shortening button and your long URL will be transformed into a really small one so you have more space for your tweets.
  • You have the option to use Bit.ly, J.mp or Tinyurl as your URL shortening service

Location Sharing

  • It’s very easy to share a link to your current location or even your current address thanks to the location technology integrated in all the Android phones.

Save Tweets as Drafts

  • This is a feature that I love the most. You can start a tweet, and finish it later. The twitter client will save your tweet until you come back and send it.

Background Notifications

  • Seesmic for Android brings fully customizable and flexile background notifications feature. You can choose to be notified for what maters to you: all your tweets, your replies or your direct messages.
  • Do you want to be alerted by a specific ringtone, or just by a discreet little light? No problem, you can configure to be notified for what you want and how you want. Tap any notification, and you are back in the Seesmic application

Focus on the content

  • All the main information about your tweet is displayed in one simple screen, without distracting you from the most important: the tweet itself. The main actions are all accessible on the screen, and you will find other actions in the Option Menu. You want to reply to multiple persons at the same time? No problem, simply choose who you want to reply to by accessing the simple menu.
