Siri ported to iPhone 3GS
Well this was always on the card wasn’t it? The iPhone universe after seeing Siri ported to iPhone 4 knew that the hacking fun wouldn’t end there. And they have been proven right as Apple’s virtual assistant has made its way to an aging iPhone 3GS. Don’t believe me? See the proof video after the break.
This port comes your way thanks to the amazing hacking skills of chpwn along with some assistance of developer stroughtonsmith, the man who started this whole Siri port project.
While the video shown below is a pretty brief one, it does show one important thing – Siri runs smoothly on the not so fast iPhone 3GS which went live in 2009. And knowing the jailbreak community, I can say without any doubts that the efforts are underway to make this port as smooth and as efficient as possible. Do you plan on using Siri on your classical iPhone 3GS? Post your answer on our Facebook channel. In case you are a Twitter loving person, you can tweet your answer to us @geekword.
