Boy these Skype folks certainly know how to roll out an interesting and attention capturing update. Skype for Windows 5.0 has been rolled out and if you are an epic Facebook user (the chances of which are pretty high), you will certainly love what this version has in store for you.
Once you install Skype v5.0, you will be required to login to your Facebook account via Facebook Connent, provided you want your Facebook world to make Skype its second home. With Facebook on Skype you can:
- See your Facebook News Feed in Skype
- Post status updates that can be synced with your Skype mood message
- Comment and like friends’ updates and wall posts
- Call and SMS your Facebook friends on their mobile phones and landlines
- Make a free Skype-to-Skype call if your Facebook friend is also a Skype contact
The other new features included are:
- Group video chat.
- Automatic call recovery, which helps you reconnect calls that are interrupted due to Internet connection problems.
