HTC EVO 4G rooted, video evidence included
What’s more exciting than the thought of the HTC EVO 4G nearing its release date? How about knowing the fact that the hack for the Android 2.1 device has already been discovered and implemented. It’s worth mentioning here that Google’s recently concluded Google I/O 2010 event has contributed a lot towards this huge achievement. See the video evidence after the jump.

The person responsible behind this hack along with his two buddies got hold of the phone as part of search engine’s giant gesture to hand out the first 4G enabled Android from HTC to the valuable developers. The video shows the superuser app more commonly referred to as su running successfully on the phone and successfully getting the essential permission.
The hackers besides being genius have been smart enough to not to detail the hacking method used as well as the how to guide for the achieved root. Expect them to do so once the phone goes live for sale on 4th June.
