Swype hacked and ported to Android
Ever heard of a useful little tool called Swype? Yes, Swype is a new technology for text input that allows a user to type the desired text by swiping through the mobile phone’s virtual on screen keyboard without having to lift the fingers. The latest development on this regard is that it has been hacked and ported for the Android powered phones. Shown below is a video that exhibits Swype running on the very cool Droid Eris. A big thanks to pocketnow for sharing the news.
From what we gather, the innovative company behind Swype got huge investment cash from the likes of Samsung and Nokia for their evolving text input technology. This is an indication of that this technology will be arriving on handsets manufactured by Samsung and Nokia devices.
