SyncMate Review: The universal sync solution you were looking for
We are living in an age where gadgets have become an integral part of our life. Almost everyone these days has a mobile phone/smartphone, music player, PC/Mac and some of us even have a PSP to satisfy the gaming thirst. While we want all of our gadgets to be all powerful and feature packed, one thing which becomes more and more important as our gadget collection increases is to manage all of these gadgets and secure/sync the data that is available on each of these gadgets. So what we are looking for is a one for all sync solution. Enter SyncMate, the universal syncing solution that Mac users will want to have in their possession.
SyncMate, a creation of Eltima Software company equips Mac OS X users with the power to sync data and files between their Mac enabled system and other supported devices which include:
- PC
- Mac
- Windows Mobile Phone
- Android Phone
- Google Account
- PSP
- Nokia S40 phones.
- USB Flash drive
The software comes in two editions: Free and Expert. The Free one allows you to sync iCal and contacts, read SMS directly on your Mac which definitely excites me and visually analyze detailed information about Windows Mobile devices. Both the contacts allow you to perform synchronization using different connection methodologies such as WiFi, Bluetooth and more.
SyncMate Expert on the other hand offers more features as the name suggests. Besides syncing iCal and contacts related data it also possesses the following abilities:
- Sync iTunes, iPhoto, Mail, separate Folders, Notes, ToDo’s, Time, Bookmarks and other important must sync data.
- Create/Send/Delete/Search and Export SMS onto/from your Mac.
- AutoSync
Want some free stuff? Here is what you get:
Eltima gives all SyncMate users some free space online. Here you can store your Address Book, iCal, To Dos, Safari bookmarks, Mail and Entourage notes. Thus you will have instant access to all these data from any Mac with SyncMate installed at any spot on the globe.
Pricing
SyncMate Expert will cost you between $39.95 to $59.95. But as you can tell from the features list, it’s worth spending every single penny. Get a detailed feature list here. Pricing details can be found here.
The only bad thing I see in this otherwise productivity enhancing sync suite is that it doesn’t support iPhone syncing currently. But the official site says that this missing option won’t remain missing for long. So, are you going to get yourself SyncMate? If you do, make sure to share with us your experience.
