Apple’s Friday conference which focused on the flawed iPhone 4 antenna flaw has seen different mobile manufacturers react rather aggressively. All of this is happening due to Steve Jobs’ claim of iPhone 4 not being the only handset to suffer from the death grip issue. The CEO named Droid Eris, BlackBerry and Nokia handsets to suffer from the same issue as well.

Do you own a Droid Eris? In either case – you would be pleased to know that Verizon has started rolling out the much awaited Android 2.1 update for the sexy looking handset from HTC. To make things more interesting, the update will be bringing HTC Sense UI with it. However it appears that the update hasn’t reached a large audience. Some users confirm the arrival of update while others are still waiting get the latest Android on their mobile phone.

You must have heard about Swype – yes a new innovative text input technology that allows you to type on your virtual on-screen keyboard without having to lift your fingers. Swype for Android has been leaked out, the preview version to be exact. The leaked Swype installer doesn’t work on just any Android phones, it works on only those smartphones which have WVGA screens, so it would work on the highly advertised Motorola Droid and the very cool Droid Eris. iheartradio app lands at the Android market

Clear Channel has unleashed iheartradio, a radio app for Android powered phones. The streaming radio app prior to this launch was already available for the iPhone and BlackBerry platform and it was only a matter of time before it was announced for the ever growing mobile platform from Google. A few days back we shared with you the news of Swype hacked for Android along with a video that showed Swype running on Droid Eris from HTC. Swype, in short is a must have typing technology for on-screen keyboards that lets you type faster as it does not require to lift your fingers while typing. Well there is good news for Windows Mobile phone owners, the geeks at XDA have extracted Swype from Samsung Omnia 2 and have released it publicly so that you can use it with your HTC HD2 and other smartphones.
