Google Gesture Search now available for Android 1.6

In the beginning of the month, Google rolled out Gesture search for Android phones or should I say for Android 2.0+ phones. Naturally, users with Android 1.6 devices were feeling a left behind. Google understood that and as a result rolled out the Gesture search for Android 1.6. Gesture Search is a Google Labs app for Android that lets you search for music, contacts and so on.

Google Maps has been updated to 4.1. Users with Android 1.6 and higher devices can get the latest update, and I must say a must have update. The maps app for mobile brings a handful set of new features (including the latitude widget) that will minimize your search time and will ensure that the information you are looking for is in front of you all the time. Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Mini announced

Sony Ericsson have announced Xperia X10 Mini. This announcement was made by the mobile manufacturers in their Mobile World Congress press conference. We told you that it will be coming in Barcelona and it has arrived. The smaller form factor of Xperia X10 is available in a wide range of colors and has an appealing look and feel to it. Cyanogen unleashes CyanogenMod 4.2.11, brings Eclair like look, multi-touch browser and more

Cyanogen has released a new build of CyanogenMod, called CyanogenMod 4.2.11. This one comes out as a heavily modified version of AOSP (Android Open Source Project) 1.6. The 4.2.11 release brings a lot of bugfixes and a number of enhancements including MMS enhancements, multi-touch browser and photo gallery, and more. (Full changelog posted below)
Google Goggles released for Android phones

Google has fulfilled its promise and has just released Google Goggles , the visual search application for Android devices. This announcement was made by the search engine giants during the launch event at Computer History Museum. In simple words, Google Goggles lets you search by providing images instead of words as your search query. (Video included at the end of the post)
