In the beginning of the month, Google rolled out Gesture search for Android phones or should I say for Android 2.0+ phones. Naturally, users with Android 1.6 devices were feeling a left behind. Google understood that and as a result rolled out the Gesture search for Android 1.6. Gesture Search is a Google Labs app for Android that lets you search for music, contacts and so on.

Here we go – The search engine giants have rolled out a new Google Labs app for Android called Gesture Search. There is no rocket science behind this feature. Back in December, we shared with you a rumor according to which T-Mobile G1 was all set to getting an Android 2.0 update. Well it appears that the rumor was a false one. T-Mobile Forums reports that the picture is not yet clear as to if there will be an Eclair update for Google‘s first commercial phone or not. Currently talks are being held with the search engine giants to work out a possibility of the Eclair update. Bear in mind the matter hangs in the balance, there has been no confirmation neither a denial regarding this possibility.
