Apple attacks Verizon with a couple of newly launched commercials
Nov 24th
AT&T needed a rescue act from someone and Apple has done just that. Apple has come out to the rescue of AT&T as it has launched an attack on Verizon, a quite smart one I must say by launching a couple of new commercials. The just launched ads, which are well thought out, identify an advantage that AT&T offers to its iPhone subscribers, which Verizon can’t. AT&T‘s 3G network is capable of supporting voice calls and data calls simultaneously, which unfortunately Verizon’s CDMA/EV-DO technology cannot do. (Commercials embedded at the end of the post)
With AT&T’s simultaneous voice and data traffic support, user can attend a voice call and at the same time check out a website, email and other related stuff.
Here is one thing that AT&T doesn’t provide, tethering support for iPhone which the users have been waiting for a long long time.
Verizon previously has been targeting Apple as well as AT&T by rolling out an ad namely iDon’t. Then very recently it released a new funny commercial in which it placed iPhone in the land of misfit toys.
One more question, was there a need for Apple to roll out these commercials? Do share your thoughts with us.
