Google Taiwan Yesterday held a video conference and unveiled its cloud based Chrome OS and went onto share some other essential details as well. According to Google, Acer and Samsung branded Chrome OS notebooks will go live in first half of 2011. Both the manufacturers are highly like to use Intel chips inside their notebooks.

If you watched the Chrome OS event which is currently going on as I write, Google unveiled a black colored notebook which they are calling it Cr-48 (Cr for Chromium). The notebook didn’t have any branding on it and it won’t be up for sale. The notebook will be used in the Chrome OS pilot program which is the Beta testing program for Chrome OS. But what we can borrow from this notebook is the specs that the Chrome OS notebook will possibly have when they are ready for prime time, expectedly in the first half of 2011.
