Mozilla team disappointed one and all by not rolling out the promised Beta version of Firefox 1.1 for Maemo on 9th April. Here is something to cheer you up – Firefox Mobile 1.1 for N900 will be bringing a new and useful feature which will be called the Site Menu.
Firefox ported to webOS thanks to PDK, needs fine tuning

Here we are with another port story and this time it’s the turn of Mozilla’s Linux based browser. Firefox Mobile for Android has been ported to webOS and all the thank goes to none other than PDK, Palm’s Plugin development kit.

Attention Nokia N900 owners, the time to update Firefox Mobile for Maemo is getting near. If everything goes according to the plan, 9th April is the date on which Beta v1.1 of Firefox Mobile will be rolled out for Maemo powered phones. Mark Finkle’s Weblog has shared screenshots of the upcoming Fennec 1.1 for Maemo.

A few days back, we informed you about the possibility of Firefox Mobile for Android arriving pretty soon. More development has taken place for the mobile version of Firefox for the Android platform. From what I gather, the Firefox Mobile isn’t ready for prime time. Infact developer Vladimir Vukićević discloses that the pre-alpha version is still a ways to go. But the good news here is that the progress is being made in the right direction.a

Not so long ago, Mozilla unleashed the final version of Firefox Mobile for Nokia N900. As I mentioned in that post, Firefox wasn’t going to stop just yet and that’s precisely what has happened. They recently released the Weave 1.0 add-on for Firefox Mobile. Why is this important you ask? This add-on makes it possible for you to synchronize your desktop and mobile browser data meaning you get to see and access the pages which you were visiting on your PC right on your mobile. The synchronized data of course includes visited web pages commonly known as history, open tabs and much more.
Final version of Firefox Mobile unleashed for Nokia N900

The good thing here as I mentioned previously is that, you will essentially be getting the familiar features of desktop version on your mobile. Firefox for mobile hits RC1

Mozilla has released the first release candidate of Firefox for Maemo aka Firefox Mobile. This release was expected before christmas but that did not happen did it. Nokia N900 and N810 are supported devices. If you’ve been running the beta, they say RC1 is more polished and that text rendering has improved.
