XDA Developers thanks to their unnamed source have leaked out pictures of the yet to be announced Nexus S. The phone as many of you know by now was running Gingerbread aka Android 2.3 and according to the source is thin and has a curvy design something which we already knew.
Last time Google CEO Eric Schmidt talked about Gingerbread, he let out the word of the Android 2.3 will be coming in the next few weeks. We think we know the week in which Gingerbread may go live. Its the first week of December or 6th December to be exact. What makes us think its 6th of December? Find out after the break.
According to an email sent by the Android Market Team, Android Market will be going through a scheduled maintenance on Thursday (18th November) due to which it will be available for viewing purposes only. This means developers won’t be able to publish their new apps or roll out updates to the existing ones.This scheduled maintenance announcement has led many to believe that Gingerbread may very well be going live Today.
Boy the Nexus S related details just keep coming/leaking out and guess who is providing the information yet again. Engadget who else. This time we will be talking about the touch screen of the Gingerbread powered phone which you will also remember as Nexus Two. According to Engadget’s unnamed tipster, Nexus S will have a unique touch screen as it will have a concave glass panel.
If you are Eric Schmidt and you are attending Web 2.0 summit, one thing that you are sure to do is speak about Gingerbread and if you are more generous you will even put on display an Android 2.3 powered smartphone. This is what precisely Google CEO did when he took the center stage. The only catch to this rather interesting development was that Mr Schmidt called the showcased device an unnamed one.

Boy it’s really hard to keep Samsung out of the picture these days isn’t it?
