Google has been in the headlines for all the right reasons since the start of this week. The introduction of real time search, the release of Google Goggles for Android phones are a couple of the many exciting announcements made by the search giant. Here it comes - Google is planning to bring Google Goggles to its very own browser, Chrome. This interesting bit of information was posted by Xiuduan Fang, a Google programmer in a post to the Chrome Extensions mailing list titled Chrome extension for Web Goggles (The original message is no longer available online.

Since last night, all sorts of announcements have been heard from Google. The release of Google Goggles app, the introduction of real time search just to name a few. Well, the news we are going to share with you is huge, particularly if you are a Google Wave fan. No, Google Wave, has not been graduated from the preview phase to beta. Instead, what has happened is that Google has rolled out more invites, 1 million invites to be exact, for its real time communication platform, that is Google Wave.

Google has fulfilled its promise and has just released Google Goggles , the visual search application for Android devices. This announcement was made by the search engine giants during the launch event at Computer History Museum. Yesterday, we informed you about Google Goggles, an in-house app that is currently being build by Google and is of course built using Google’s very own, Android. This app attempts to enable users to trigger a search based on an image captured via their mobile phones. Shown below is a video clip from CNBC’s special coverage on Google. The middle part of this video shows Google Goggles, also known as Mobile Visual Search in action.
