Froyo port for Touch Pro in the works

With Froyo already out for Nexus One and other Android handsets getting ready for the update, it is only natural to see Android hackers working on porting Froyo to other mobile platforms. XDAndroid is one such project which involves moving Android firmware to Windows Mobile enabled device. The XDAndroid team has posted an update on where their Froyo port for Touch Pro stands. Own an HTC Touch Pro, HTC Touch HD or HTC Diamond? Would you like to run Android on one of these Windows Mobile powered device? Kong Technology has posted a nice detailed tutorial that lists the essential steps needed to get Android running on a WinMo device powered by HTC. The good thing about this is, you can still use your existing Windows Mobile firmware whenever you desire. This is possible since you will be running Android from a Windows Mobile app called HaRET.
