CNN did a review of 10 top most worst tech fails for the about to end year 2010 and guess who got the top spot. It is none other than the stainless steel iPhone 4 for the unfortunate antennagate issue or the Grip of Death issue, if you like it that way. But is it really the worst tech fail for the current year? We don’t think so. Find out why after the jump.

Glassgate forces Apple to suspend sales of iPhone 4 slider cases

The third party makers of iPhone 4 cases wouldn’t be happy to read the contents of this post but the fact of the matter is this – rumor has it that Apple has stopped the sales of iPhone 4 slider cases in the fear of the cases causing glassgate (trapped dirt causing scratches and cracks on iPhone 4’s not so strong glass) issue.

Last week, we shared with you the news of Apple facing yet another iPhone 4 design flaw – the glassgate issue. While that news was more or less a rumor, we know have the confirmation of the existence of this weak glass issue and we have the numbers supporting our back. According to SquareTrade, which provides warranties for consumer electronics, iPhone 4 has a 68% higher accident rate than the iPhone 3GS.

Just target mobile phones of other manufactures particularly those which are almost depriciated. Apple in what can be termed as a late response, has finally acknowledged the existence of the reception issue for the stainless steel phone and has promised to fix it by rolling out an iOS update in the next few weeks.
