Sep 19th
Are iPhone developers completely happy with Apple. If not, may be the latest announcement from Apple will change this. Apple has announced the introduction of the App Store Resource Center for its iPhone developers. This annoucement was made by Apple via an email that was sent to registered iPhone developers. Yes that means to benefit from App Store Resource Center, iPhone developer membership is required.
App Store Resource Center comes as an addition in form of a new site to the iPhone Dev Center. The App Store Resource Center has been introduced with the focus on assisting developers in submitting their App to the App Store for approval by providing tips and guidance and everything else that’s necessary to make the app submission process as simple as possible.
This is how Apple made this announcement:
We are pleased to introduce the App Store Resource Center, a single destination designed to make it easier for you to find details on everything you need to know about distributing your app on the App Store — from how to prepare for app submission to managing your app once it’s been posted.
Make sure you also check out the News and Announcements section of the iPhone Dev Center for tips on submitting your apps to the App Store, turnaround time for app review, new program features, and guidance on everything from development and testing to distribution and marketing.
Previously Apple has been widely criticized for not treating the iPhone developers in the best possible way. Complaints such as minimum information regarding application rejection, inconsistent application submissions and rejections are just a few to name among many.
With the App Store Resource Center, Apple hopes to improve its App reviewprocess and to keep the iPhone developers happy. Let us see how much success Apple manages to achieve with this latest initiative.
