This will definitely worry folks planning to purchase a new iOS device and jailbreak iting off course. Here’s what has happened – a guy by the name John bought a new iPad (running iOS 4.2.1) and tried to jailbreak it using redsn0w 0.9.6 b6. But the newly bought iPad couldn’t be jailbroken. This unfortunate turn of events has led to a rather sad belief: Apple may have patched the limera1n exploit in newer iOS devices.

One thing that I dislike about my iPod Touch 4G is that it has a low resolution camera and the images it captures aren’t exactly what you call quality pics. What pisses me off is that the iPod Touch 4G has the ability to capture HD quality videos but not HD quality photos. But not any more. Enter HD Photographer, a Cydia Tweak that makes iPod Touch 4G capture HD quality photos.
Lately, the entire iPhone/iPod/iPad universe has been extremely excited for one and only one reason – iOS 4.2 has gone live. You know who else was excited? Apple’s design team. The hard working designers were so excited that they mistakenly showed the third iPod Touch 3G sporting a camera icon as evident from the image shown below.
A big wave of excitement has spread among the iDevice users particularly the iPad nation as the iOS 4.2 has finally gone live. Christmas has arrived early at Apple. This very thought may have come across your mind as well upon reading the title of the post. Here’s the deal folks – Apple may have taken a leaf out of HTC’s book as it has started offering the all important Find My iPhone feature free of cost. To get this free feature, you need to have your iDevice running iOS 4.2 which will go live pretty soon.
Don’t you just love it when you see Apple acknowledging its mistake and accepting their fault? I certainly do because this is something that we didn’t get to see in case of iPhone 4’s antennagate issue. Coming back to the topic, Apple has published a new support document in which it has basically acknowledged the daylight time saving bug affecting the Alarm Clock app. What’s more the Cupertinos have been generous enough to provide a workaround which they are calling it resolution for the problem which is listed after the jump.
Guess what has landed at Apple’s developer portal. It is the Gold Master build of the upcoming iOS 4.2 firmware. Members of the developer portal are the only ones that can get the latest build up and running on their iDevice.
