Insides of Microsoft store; opening on October 22nd
Oct 17th
Microsoft has been busy with the launch of its new Windows 7 operating system, which goes on sale next week, but the company is also planning its first retail stores.

If one imagine for a second that he is Microsoft: unimaginably rich, worried about a few big projects he have been meaning to finish if only he could find the time.
So what day would he choose to launch his new retail stores back into retail if he were David Porter, vice president of retail stores.

October 22nd, the day of official Windows 7 launch. That’s exactly what a number of tipsters are telling. Specifically, the Scottsdale store will also open on the 22nd.

The stores will sell Windows-based laptops and cellphones and allow consumers to play Xbox 360 games on a 94-inch in-store screen.

The Scottsdale store interior is a replica of the store created on Redmond.

You probably know where is Microsoft Store opening as well as the fact that Arizona and California will be the first states in which Microsoft Store will be opened. But have you seen the logo of Microsoft Store?. If no, then do not worry because you will finally get a look at the logo for Microsoft’s retail store. We got a look at the logo thanks to a contribution from Long Zheng. Apparently Microsoft has finalized the logo for Microsoft Retail since it has finalized it during last week at the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

The design as quite evident resembles quite a lot to the Windows logo in terms of color and shape. The registered logo covers a variety of goods and services which includes
retail store services and online retail services featuring computers, computer hardware, software, computer games, computer peripherals, portable music players and accessories, personal digital assistants, cell phones and accessories, video game consoles and accessories, webcams, books, clothing, back packs, messenger bags, computer bags and novelty items
First set of Microsoft Store to be opened in Arizona and California
Jul 29th
According to CNET, Microsoft has plans of opening its first set of Microsoft Store in Arizona and California. Yesterday, Microsoft confirmed the fact that it has signed leases in both spots in pursuit of its plan to launch its retail stores. Microsoft spokeswoman Kim Stocks said:
Over a billion people use our products every day yet we don’t always have a way to directly connect with them. “We see the physical stores, as well as a consistent online experience, helping that.
The retail store Orange County in California is set to open in a mall in which an Apple retail store already exists. This should be no surprise, since Microsoft had already shared the fact in this month’s WPC (WorldWide Partner Conference) that a few Microsoft retail stores would be opened right next to their rival’s store.
Microsoft could not ask for a better time for the opening of the retail store, considering the fact that Windows 7 would be launched on 22nd October. Stocks said:
We’re all very excited at Microsoft that we have a huge wave of innovation on the horizon. The stores are an opportunity absolutely to share with customers those technologies
Stocks said that Microsoft Store is a result of the feedbacks and the demands that they heard from their valuable customers. Her exacts word were:
Our customers have told us three things–they want a more simplified buying option for PCs and devices, great technology, and competitive prices and a knowledgeable staff.
In the long run, Microsoft plans to open their retail stores outside the U.S., but the company is yet to come to a decision as to when to take that step. Stocks on this matter said:
The goal is to go global. We are not sharing specific locations beyond the two we are announcing today
Coming to the most important question: What are the products that will be displayed for sale in the Microsoft Store?. Stocks said the products will be in the domain of laptops, software and mobility gaming.
