Quake 2 and 3 ported to Droid, runs smoothly

The days of porting apps and games for mobile phone are far from over. Wait did I say games? Yes, that’s right the one person shoot game Quake 2 and Quake 3 have been ported to Motorola Droid. From the initial impression, it looks the port is pretty successful. Demo Video after the jump.

Nexus 2 looks like a big brother of Motorola Milestone/Droid

It has been just around 10 days since the official launch of Google’s Nexus One and already talks have started surfacing regarding the next version of Google Phone more commonly referred to as Nexus Two. Folks at Mobile01 have done the honors of sharing a couple of photos of Nexus 2 which is called Motorola Shadow. It includes a QWERTY keyboard and a wrist strap as apparent from the image shown below.

It meets the Military Specification 810F for dust, shock, low and high temperature, humidity, and other aspects – it can be considered a real tuff and rugged clam shell type of mobile phone. Security flaw found in Droid, has a buggy screen lock mechanism

Attention all Motorola Droid owners, it has come to our knowledge that Verizon’s Droid has a security flaw no thanks to a bug found in the Android 2.0.1. Apparently it is affecting only those Droids that are running on top of Android 2.0.1. This bug has a direct affect on the Android powered handset’s screen lock mechanism. Via this bug, a thief can get access to your mobile phone based data even if you have locked your screen. (Details after the jump)
