Firefox Home lands at the App Store
16, Jul 2010A wave of happiness has ran among the Mozilla folks as they have gotten exactly what they wanted – an Apple approval for the Firefox Home. The browser sync app is sitting pretty at the App Store and is available as a free download for the iPhone and iPod Touch users.

Firefox for Android pre-alpha build unleashed
28, Apr 2010Guess what Mozilla folks did today for their Android users. As promised, they have rolled out the pre-alpha build of Firefox for Android aka Fennec for Android or Firefox Mobile for Android. This build which is more on the nightly build side is believed to work with Nexus One or Motorola Droid.
Mozilla team disappointed one and all by not rolling out the promised Beta version of Firefox 1.1 for Maemo on 9th April. Here is something to cheer you up – Firefox Mobile 1.1 for N900 will be bringing a new and useful feature which will be called the Site Menu.
Here we are with another port story and this time it’s the turn of Mozilla’s Linux based browser. Firefox Mobile for Android has been ported to webOS and all the thank goes to none other than PDK, Palm’s Plugin development kit.
Attention Windows Mobile users, Mozilla has announced that it will cease development of the Firefox for Windows Mobile. The reason behind this rather undesired move is due to the uncertainty and unavailability of a native development kit. This sad news was shared by Stuart Parmenter, the Mobile Team Technical Lead.

Mozilla to end Firefox 3.0 support
17, Mar 2010Mozilla has finally called it quits for Firefox 3.0. No that doesn’t mean you can’t continue using the 3.0 version of Firefox. Its just that the open source browser support is nearing its end. The last update to the browser Firefox 3.0.19 is scheduled to arrive on 30th March which will be the last update.
