Apple as promised in it’s Let’s Talk iPhone event has today released iOS 5, the company’s latest mobile operating system. Amazingly, Apple’s iOS 5 update has arrived with more than 200 new features, some of which were reported to be leaked earlier than iOS 5 was even previewed. Rumor: Apple to announce Safari 5 at WWDC 10

Apple rolls out Safari 4.0.5

Google slowly but surely killing IE6 support

We all know what happened to Google in China and which browser was used to perform this nasty act. Yes, it was none other than IE6. Google has decided to bring the IE6 support to an end, which seems a little late for me. Anyhow, starting from 1st March, Google Docs and Google Sites won’t be running properly on IE6.
ProSwitcher 1.0 released, brings multitasking awesomeness for jailbroken iPhone

ProSwitcher 1.0 has just been released and is available for a free download from Cydia. ProSwitcher is an app that enables multi-tasking for your jailbroken iPhone or iPod Touch allowing you to switch between the iPhone apps running in the background in a cover flow-like manner that is similar to the one offered in Palm Pre phones. The multi-tasking app presents apps in tabs much like you are used to in the mobile version of Apple’s browser, Safari. Firefox 3.5 goes past IE7 for the first time, takes revenge of Netscape death

Firefox 3.5 has reached a new milestone as it has gone past Internet Explorer 7 market share. This is really huge as this is the first time a particular version of Firefox browser from Mozilla has gone past Microsoft’s IE. However, Internet Explorer still dominates the market sahre when you combine all of its browsers market share. This is without any doubt great news for Mozilla and Firefox team as well as their loyal users. This outstanding fact was revealed by StatsCounter via a graph shown below.
Chrome gains third spot, pushes Safari down to 4th spot

Chrome has gone past Safari in browser market share, according to a recent study by a Web measurement company called Net Applications. Net Applications performs analysis and keeps track of the browser habits of 160 million unique visitors on a monthly basis. Currently, Chrome is placed at the 3rd spot pushing Safari down to 4th spot, something which will not please Apple at all.
