You check what the messages are and respond to them immediately. A conversation begins! Your friend on the opposite side is responding to you instantly and both of you start enjoying your conversation. An hour later you think of checking what time it was and are astonished to realize that one hour has lapsed. Your friend pauses in his conversation for a few seconds and you realize that you were actually writing an email.
