HTC releases hotfix for Y2K16 SMS bug

At the start of this month, we informed you about the presence of the Y2K16 bug in Windows Mobile phones which undesirably changed the year part of the received SMS’s date to 2016. Well we got good news for you – HTC has finally reacted to this irritating bug and has rolled out a hotfix that will hopefully solve this problem.

A few days back we shared with you the news of Swype hacked for Android along with a video that showed Swype running on Droid Eris from HTC. Swype, in short is a must have typing technology for on-screen keyboards that lets you type faster as it does not require to lift your fingers while typing. Well there is good news for Windows Mobile phone owners, the geeks at XDA have extracted Swype from Samsung Omnia 2 and have released it publicly so that you can use it with your HTC HD2 and other smartphones.
