Windows Live Essentials Wave 4 leaked

The recently concluded MIX10 event didn’t bring any good news or beta releases for Windows Live Wave 4 fans. Windows Live Essentials Wave 4 build has been leaked onto the Internet. The downside to this Beta is that it is only available for Beta testers. However some smart fellow has been kind enough to post a patch for it that will allow you to use Windows Live Messenger aka Windows Live Messenger 2010.
More Windows Live Messenger Wave 4 screenshots emerge

Back in December, we shared with you the leaked screenshots for Windows Live Messenger 2010 which promised a lot for the upcoming Windows Live Messenger version. Well more screenshots have been leaked out. This time folks at Live Sino are the source making this outstanding contribution as they share with us the screenshots of an internal Live Messenger build.

Earlier in the month, we shared with you the leaked screenshots (links provided at the end of the post) for the Windows Live Messenger and Windows Live Writer along with the stuff that we are expecting to see when they are rolled out as part of Wave 4. Well we have got more exciting stuff for you in relation to Wave 4. This time, geekSmack have done the honors of sharing the leaked snapshots for a number of Wave 4 products namely Live Writer, Windows Live Mail and Windows Live Photo Gallery. The leaked screenshots shown below belong to build number 15.0.2403.826.
Wave 4 to bring ribbon interface for Windows Live Writer

A few minutes back, we informed you about some of the new features that Windows Live Messenger 2010 will bring. Many of you would be aware of the fact that Wave 4 is expected to arrive at a certain time in 2010, hopefully in January. Wave includes a diverse set of products which of course includes Live Messenger. Windows Live Writer is also a part of it. With Wave 4, Windows Live Writer will be getting the ribbon interface which will give the blogging tool a much sexier look.

An anonymous tipster has shared with Neowin, the screenshots of the upcoming and much awaited Windows Live Messenger 2010. In a nutshell, the upcoming version of Windows Live Messenger will bring the forever requested tabbed conversation feature and a socially rich main messenger window . It wouldn’t be wrong to say that social networking is at the heart of the upcoming chat client from Microsoft.
What’s new and changed in Windows Live Wave 4 M1 release

Changes made for Windows Live Wave 4
Auto Inbox Refresh
Previously Inbox was refreshed after every 60 seconds, however with Wave 4 Inbox will be refreshed when user logs into WebIM.
Auto Save Drafts
Automatically saves emails as drafts as users type them. The current time is set to 3 minutes.
KeyBoard Shortcuts
A huge amount of KeyBoard shortcuts have been added to Wave 4 with an effort to match those of Yahoo and Gmail. Here is the list of all the Hotmail Shortcuts
Download all attachments
If an email contains multiple attachments, then these attachments will be downloaded together as a .zip file

WebIM Contact List
A new feature called “view online contacts” is added to the WebIM Contact List
Mobile browser improvements
Backend changes have been made to improve and optimize mobile performance
Action Bar at bottom of page
Reply/Forward/Delete is now available from both the top and bottom of an email.
Contact Picker Improvements
More than one change has been made to contact picker. These changes are:
- edit contacts in compose
- recent email data used in auto-complete and contact picker
- copy/paste enabled in IE
- a “verify recipients” feature added
