The news which I am going to share with you is quite sad, but nevertheless it should be told. Previously it was just Hotmail and Yahoo users who were denied the right of using Ufone‘s Email to SMS service. Now Gmail users are the latest to be hit by this unfortunate event as Ufone has blocked Email to SMS service for Gmail users as well.
You won’t believe it but this is true. All of a sudden, Yahoo has taken a U-turn on its previous stance of “Firefox being a safer and faster browser.” Now it is recommending its users to switch to Microsoft‘s latest browser IE8. Yahoo sees IE8 as a safer browser. About a year back, Yahoo was against Internet Explorer and recommended its users who were using Internet explorer to switch to a “safer and faster firefox”.
Personally I see couple of reasons behind this:
- Just recently IE8 was declared the browser with the best phishing filter, because of which it sees IE8 as a safer browser
- Since Yahoo and Microsoft are now business partners, and Microsoft is paying them, so all of a sudden IE8 becomes a safer browser than others The second reasons simply outclasses and puts the first reason out of picture. It is just my thinking. I am sure you will have your own thoughts. Please do share with us.
