Telenor initiates deployment of 3G

You might be aware of the fact that Telenor was planning and seemed poised to bringing the 3G technology and deploying it in Pakistan. Well there has been a development in that regard. You will be happy to know that Telenor has actually started the swapping process of (2G with 3G) in the Punjab region.

Telenor has assigned this project to a third party operator who is currently busy in carrying out analysis and deployment process these days. The project is scheduled for a duration of 2 years.

Telenor is currently waiting for acquiring the 3G license and is taking advantage of the time by analysing and doing other benefitial things.

You might remember the fact that the auction of 3G license was scheduled in March 2009, but for certain reasons the much awaited action has been delayed.

Let us hope that it takes place as soon as possible.
