TweetDeck gets updated to v0.32, brings lists, geotagging and much more

In the last few days, we have come accustomed to seeing various Twitter apps getting updated be it an iPhone app (such as Tweetie 2.1 which arrived today) or a desktop app (such as Seesmic for Windows). TweetDeck has just been upgraded to v0.32. Yes, it brings all the new features introduced by Twitter, which include lists, geotagging, the new retweet functionality and a few bug fixes as well. It gets one exciting  new feature; LinkedIn integration.

TweetDeck v0.32 features

Here are the exciting new features that version 0.32 of TweetDeck brings:

Brings LinkedIn support
  • You can now add your LinkedIn account to TweetDeck
  • You can add a LinkedIn column to view updates from your network, view profiles and comment on your contacts’ status updates.
  • Send your own update direct from LinkedIn, cross-posting to any of your other accounts at the same time if you wish.
Adds Twitter Lists support
  • See and use Twitter Lists in full, glorious TweetDeck style.
  • Export your old TweetDeck Groups to new Twitter Lists or create Lists from scratch.
Brings the new retweet functionality
  • TweetDeck now fully supports the new-style Twitter Retweets.
  • If you desire, you can still stick with the old tried-and-tested old-style retweets, allowing comments and editing.
Adds geotagging support
  • TweetDeck now  supports the newly rolled out geo-location tagging feature from Twitter.
  • If you desire, you can still stick with the old tried-and-tested old-style retweets, allowing comments and editing.
  • Geo-coded tweets are identified by a yellow pin at the bottom of the tweet.
  • Clicking on this pin will reveal an inline map showing the location that the tweet was sent from. Click the pin again and the map disappears.
  • TweetDeck for desktop will not currently geo-code your outgoing tweets

TweetDeck v0.32 is available for download for Mac, Windows and Linux platform. It will also install Adobe Air, which is required to run the Twitter client.
