Twitter app for Zune HD lands at the Zune marketplace
Twitter app for Zune HD has now been unleashed and can be downloaded from the Zune marketplace. We promised you that the app will be coming and it has come making it the first social networking app for Zune HD. The much awaited app is available as a free download, giving you one more reason to use it.
(Features and issues discussed below)
Features
The microblogging app supports the following features:
- Read Tweets and Twitter timeline.
- Post Tweets.
- Tag a tweet as favorite.
- View favorite tweets.
- Send a direct message.
- Reply to a fellow tweep.
- Search other tweeps and tweets.
Issues
Engadget reports that the app has the following issues
- Ignores button presses randomly.
- Stalls while viewing tweets.
- Refreshing the app does not take place is a smooth manner.
- Drops WiFi connections
It seems that the app doesn’t support the new Lists and retweet feature, which is discomforting at least for me.
To use it, you need a Zune HD player running on top of Zune HD 4.3 firmware.
This is really big news since it brings a native Twitter app for Microsoft’s media player. Using this app, you will no longer be required to use Twitter via Zune’s built in browser.
Twitter app can be downloaded directly to your Zune HD or you can get it through the Zune software on PC from Zune Marketplace.
