ufonelogoThe news which I am going to share with you is quite sad, but nevertheless it should be told. Previously it was just Hotmail and Yahoo users who were denied the right of using Ufone‘s Email to SMS service. Now Gmail users are the latest to be hit by this unfortunate event as Ufone has blocked Email to SMS service for Gmail users as well.

Ufone’s Email to SMS service allows you to use SMS for sending as well as receiving emails. The service provider would periodically check the Email server for the arrival of new email messages. If it founded any new email(s) it would immediately forward the Email to you via SMS.

Since the service was launched, Ufone did not entertain users having Hotmail or Yahoo accounts. Now is the turn of Gmail users to be denied of this service. You ask why Ufone would do such a thing. There might be many reasons behind it. And Ufone would be the best entity to provide us with the right answer and they should have a valid and logical rationale and reason for blocking this service.

It is believed that Ufone did such a thing because it was aware that a large number of users use Hotmail, Yahoo, and Gmail for their emails and it would not be able to deal with such a huge load of emails, so it never entertained them. In other words it is just a service by name with no effective usage for reasons I am sure you would have understood by now.
