How to use the Google Chrome to Phone extension
The recently announced Froyo, continues to give me pleasant surprises. The one which I am going to share with you in this post happens to be one of my favorite if not the favorite. I have always wanted the ability to send the pages to my mobile phone that I have running on my PC (desktop/laptop) so that my browsing doesn’t get disturbed even when I am on the go. Guess what, the Android 2.2 does that for me with a cool little feature named Chrome to Phone extension. I know, I know you want the how to guide. See the guide after the jump.
How to send a webpage from a desktop browser to your Android phone
- Download the Chrome to Phone extension for the Chrome browser.
- Download the Chrome to Phone app for Android 2.2. [Download directly on your phone here.]
- Install both, and “Register” both.
- To send a page, just click the “Chrome to Phone” icon on the Chrome browser.
Now that’s simplicity at its best since all you need to do is perform a single click and your web page is on your way to your Froyo powered phone. In case you own a Nexus One and can’t wait for the official rollout of the Android 2.2, find out how you can upgrade to this sensational firmware manually right here.
